Events are a great way to drive opportunities and engage every aspect of your marketing funnel.  You can sell sponsorship and create different levels of sponsorship.  Offer different sponsorship packages that include at least three levels – for example, you might offer a silver, gold, and platinum level. This gives your partners the flexibility they need.

2. Facilitate commerce between parties

Business events bring people together who have at least some expectation of doing business with each other.  You can help them save time of having to find each other by chance through networking during the event.  You can use customized survey tool to collect additional information from your attendees when they register and you can message them and deliver targeted offers to the people who’ll be most interested in receiving them.

3. Put ads on your event website

Because so much of your event promotion happens online these days, events can generate considerable online traffic before, during and after the event. You can put all the information that will interest your prospective attendees. It’s also a good opportunity to add a well-placed and thoughtfully-chosen ads.  Work with companies who have products or services to offer that are relevant to your event and likely to be of interest to those attending.  “Online-only” sponsorship packages that are put together like ad buys also allow you to engage companies as advertisers who might not have been as interested in being sponsors.

4. Sell premium attendee experiences

Start with bundling and discounting.  Give your target customer an option to choose “premium” or “VIP” options. You may offer a package of 3 workshops for something less than the combined cost of the series of workshops if purchased separately.

You can also try to create special experiences during your event for which some of your general attendees will be willing to pay extra like an admission to the after-party with inflatable waterslide   or offer a limited capacity workshop with one of the featured speakers from your event.  Be creative in offering perks but it won’t take too much of your budget.

5. Sell merchandise

People like to come home from events with giveaways and stuffs.  A better way to capitalize this is to sell merchandise before and during the event.  It will be a good opportunity to provide product awareness and a good marketing tool to use.
